Looking for a technical angle on the shopping craze? Tech Crunch covers the IBM Benchmark real-time reporting unit information about Thanksgiving shopping. With most physical stores closed, online retailers took advantage of the day with early deals, and it paid off. Thanksgiving Day online sales were up 20% over 2012 with a quarter of sales and half of traffic coming from mobile.
