Hello! I’m Kristin Hansen and I’m OpenSesame’s new Account Management Associate. I’m excited to join the OpenSesame team and to reenter the startup realm. I spent the last couple of years working in a medical office in various capacities, but before that I worked at local startup WalkerTracker where I assisted with customer support and systems creation. I loved working in an environment that was growing and changing rapidly, and I loved the impact I could have on that process. I have a strong interest in relationship building and customer service, and I’m excited to use those skills here at OpenSesame as well as to pick up new skills by helping the sales team.
I’ve lived in Portland for almost three years and I love it here. I originally hail from sunny San Diego but took a stint in Massachusetts to attend Mount Holyoke College, where I majored in religion and minored in physics. I loved the combination of people-oriented reading, writing, and discussion balanced with the technical science to satisfy my love of knowing how things work. I find the combination ties well into my life interests of helping people but wanting a technological component in what I do. Learning is extremely important to me as well, so I was thrilled to find a startup that weaved all those pieces together!
In my fun time I soak up as many of the charms of living in the NW as I can, primarily the outdoor possibilities and the food. I love how walking-friendly Portland is, and on the weekends I love day hikes to the Columbia River Gorge and surrounding areas. Food-wise you can’t go wrong here, and I love all of it, food carts and posh restaurants alike. I play a few racket sports, as well as a long-necked instrument with a healthy twang.
I am excited to join the OpenSesame team and am wowed by the variety and quality of courses we offer!
