Hello! I am Christina Thomas, Program Manager with OpenSesame. Over the last month I have had the opportunity to get to know the OpenSesame team and am excited to be joining such great group of individuals.
After 10+ years in a corporate environment I am excited to join this smaller, fast moving, and growing startup with a mission and a product I believe is excellent! Although new to this working environment, I am not new to elearning. I have spent the last 5 years working for Apollo Education Group in the Business Development department specifically on the Professional Development team. During my time at Apollo I worked with our corporate partners implementing in person and online training seminars, cohorts, and educational events. I am looking forward to continued work in this capacity as we grow our corporate partnerships here at OpenSesame. I have a passion for adult education and continual learning, and with OpenSesame it is even easier for learners and companies to access. It is an exciting time to be a part of this industry.
I grew up in a small logging community—Philomath, OR just outside of Corvallis where I completed my undergraduate degree in Business Management at Oregon State University, and then my Graduate program at University of Phoenix in Management.
I love living in Portland, where I have been for the last 10 years with my husband Brian, our 6 year old son Brody, and my black lab Samantha. In my free time I take advantage of living in the Northwest by snowboarding at Mt. Hood, eating great food, camping, running, and anything outside—even in the rain.
