Hi, I’m Alex!
I am the Community Coordinator at OpenSesame. In my current position at OpenSesame, I head the Customer Support Team, providing round-the-clock support via social media channels, phone, live chat, email, and case management tools. Most customers know me on a first-name basis, and I strive to give care and attention-to-detail to every person on our site. Day-to-day I wear many hats! My favorite things about OpenSesame are the company culture and the fact that it is a start up environment that allows me to utilize my different skills and learn new ones. I am extremely fortunate to work at a company staffed with caring, open, and patient people who are willing to help me and hear me when I need it.
Before OpenSesame, I worked at NBC Digital and prior to that, an online video startup called Revver. At NBC I worked directly with the social media and production teams while being the liaison between the fans and the shows. Before moving to Portland, I went to USC for grad school. I always say that I left part of my heart in LA—hate if you want, but I love LA!
In the last 2 years, I’ve learned a great deal about the world of elearning. eLearning is exciting, and the possibilities are endless. I am excited to be a part of such a fast-paced and growing industry. I’m most interested in seeing where bite-sized learning and mobile are headed.
I’m turning 40 this year, so I’ve decide to become a certified yoga instructor and enrolled in teacher training. My intention is to specialize in yoga for healing with a concentration on family practice. I have a 3 year old who inspires me to become the world I want to live in!
