Frequently Asked Questions on OpenSesame

Which is why we compiled a list of some of our most commonly asked  buyers’ and sellers’ questions on OpenSesame. 

Commonly Asked Buyer Questions:

How long do I have access to a course?

You have 12 months to launch the course and 12 months to finish it. In that time you can access the course material as much as you like.

Help! I clicked on a course and its not loading.

If a course you are trying to view is not loading, please refresh your browser and make sure your pop-up blockers are disabled. If you are still having trouble, please contact us for support.

What if I start a course but do not have time to finish it?

No problem! To access the course while picking up where you left off, please start by logging into OpenSesame, mouse over My Account in the top right corner and click on My Courses. Then click the Take Course link on the right side of the page. When using this link, OpenSesame will save your answers and progress so that you can pick up where you left off the next time you log in. If you are using the course with CourseCloud or your LMS, OpenSesame will still remember where you left off and let you pick up from there.

How can I get a certificate of completion?

Some courses include a certificate in the course content. If you do not see a certificate at the end of your course, please send us an email and we will send you the certificate immediately.

Can I take this course on an iPad or other IOS Device?

OpenSesame now offers more than 5,000 courses that work on iPad, iPhone and other iOS devices. When searching or browsing for courses, just check the box for “Mobile iPhone/iPad” and you’ll only see results that play successfully on iOs mobile devices. Once you’ve made a purchase, you can get started learning instantly on your mobile device.

Will OpenSesame provide me with an IT certification or a certification exam?

While OpenSesame does not provide IT certification, we do provide eLearning that can help you meet your individual goals.  If you are confused about what course you need for a specific certification,  will will try and make recommendations or point you in the direction of some good external resources that may be useful in answering your question.

What is SCORM?

The Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) is the standard for providing consistent, functional elearning courses. Making your courses SCORM compatible ensures that OpenSesame can connect your courses to any LMS. For more information, visit www.SCORM.com.

How do I get paid?

OpenSesame forwards payment to sellers via PayPal on a monthly basis, thirty days following the close of the month in which the sale occurred. Payments can only be made using PayPal. To update your OpenSesame account with your PayPal information, please log in to OpenSesame, and click My Account. Then click “Edit” and select the Payment Information tab to enter the email address associated with your PayPal account. If you do not have a PayPal account you can set one up here. https://www.paypal.com/home. Please let us know if we can provide any further assistance.

Does OpenSesame offer private catalogs?

While we do not currently offer private cataloging, it is on our roadmap. In the meantime we are happy to speak with you one on one about your current needs and an alternative solution.
